KSP Working HAZMAT Situation Near Fulton

Fulton, KY   –Kentucky State Police are currently working a HAZMAT situation on I69 North at the Fulton weigh station scale.
Friday at approximately 3:32 PM an Inspector with the Kentucky State Police, observed a small leak of hazardous material coming from a Tanker during an inspection.
The substance was identified as Sodium Hydrosulfide, which is a toxic substance.  HAZMAT teams are on scene handling the situation. The incident has been contained to the area of the scales at this time. Commercial Vehicle Enforcement advises that, this is not a life threatening incident. I69 North has currently reopened.
