Union City, Tenn.–Concerns over high heat readings this afternoon have caused a couple of changes in scheduled outdoor activities at Union City Schools.
The start time for the high school cross country meet at Dresden has been pushed back an hour to 5:30 p.m. Likewise, the beginning of the UC Middle School softball game at Dresden has been rescheduled for 6 p.m., instead of 5.
Monday’s golf outing at Dyersburg, where the Tornado linksters were participating in the Trojan Classic, was called off midway through the match due to the heat.
