Union City, Tenn.–It was hot and muggy, but there were still smiles all around as the Obion County Fair opened Monday night with a ribbon-cutting and opening ceremonies. Officials including County Mayor Benny McGuire, Economic Development Director Lindsay Frilling, fair board members and volunteers did the honors of cutting the ribbon, while Fair Board Vice President Blake Laws welcomed everyone and Miss Tennessee Volunteer Kerri Arnold of Benton Co. sang the Star-Spangled Banner.
