By Shannon McFarlin News Director
Paris, Tenn.-A Henry County man who failed to appear at his arraignment for rape of a child is being held in the Henry County Jail after he was found at a truck stop in Illinois.
Joshuawa Visnick, age 34, of Hwy. 69N, is being held without bond.
Visnick was indicted in March by the local grand jury and made bond of $50,000. When he didn’t appear for his arraignment in the local court, the Henry County Sheriff’s Office entered his name in NCIC and contacted the U.S. Marshal’s Service for assistance in finding him.
Investigator Gary Vandiver said as it turned out law enforcement in Illinois spotted him sitting in a car in a truck stop and were able to identify him through the NCIC network.
Vandiver said the rape of a child charge involved a child under the age of 13.
