Union City, Tenn.— Awaken Northwest Tennessee, a county-wide movement unifying churches to strategically pray for every person in the Obion County area, will hold its kick-off event at the Capitol Theatre in downtown Union City on Saturday, August 17th starting at 6 pm.
The event will launch a month-long journey of prayer and fasting designed as a way for individuals to pray in unity for community members. Each participant will receive a prayer packet that includes a daily prayer guide, a list of 15 unique names and addresses of people in Obion County, blank postcards, and other helpful resources.
Jeremy Powell, pastor of Crosswind Church and one of the event organizers, is excited about the possibilities of Awaken Northwest Tennessee and the impact it will have on the community.
Powell said, “I have no idea what God is going to do in Awaken Northwest Tennessee but I am fired up to get to see all that He is going to accomplish as we ask Him to awaken our community in His grace and His love.”
