Henry County Sheriff's Team, Two Bloodhounds Join Search For Watson

Henning, Tenn.–A team of six from the Henry County Sheriff’s Office, including Sheriff Monte Belew and the department’s two bloodhounds, have joined the search for Escapee Curtis Ray Watson in Henning.
Watson escaped from the West Tennessee State Penitentiary on Wednesday and is accused of the murder of prison administrator prison administrator Debra Johnson.
Belew told WENK/WTPR early this morning the team was on the way to Henning and will be staying there the next few days until he is in custody. “We hope today is the day he is caught,” Belew said.
The two bloodhounds that are with the team are Rowdy, whose handler is Cpl. Stacey Bostwick; and Adora, whose handler is Sgt. Wayne Fuqua. Both Adora and Rowdy are experienced trackers.
Curtis Ray Watson, age 44, has ties to both Henry and Carroll Counties. Watson was sentenced to 15 years in prison after being convicted of especially aggravated kidnapping in Henry County in 2012. He was also arrested by Paris Police on charges of aggravated assault and aggravated rape. He also was sentenced to 10 years in state prison after an aggravated child abuse in Carroll County.
The Tennessee Department of Correction posted photos this morning showing a confirmed sighting of Watson overnight on a carport in Henning.
