Union City, Tenn.—Union City Police have issued a warrant for a man wanted for the theft of lottery tickets from a local convenience store.
A warrant was issued for Keith Pettigrew, age 50, of 618 N. Division St., Union City, on a charge of theft under $1,000.
On Sunday, Police were dispatched to Huck’s at 1400 S. First St. on a theft report. The manager told them that 20 minutes prior, a man took a lottery ticket off the shelf when the cashier wasn’t looking.
They watched video footage which showed a black male, wearing a black hat, black t-shirt with a bird on it, black pants and black shoes getting out of a dark grey or black vehicle. In the video footage, he walked to the register, asked the cashier questions and grabbed the lottery ticket off the rack when the cashier stepped away and then put it under his shirt before leaving the store. The next day, police went back to Huck’s for a follow up and it was determined that there were two lottery tickets stolen because two Jumbo Bucks tickets were folded together. Upon further investigation, the identity of the suspect was determined.
