Union City, Tenn.–Union City Schools has announced the schedule for Registration Day for the 2019-20 school year, set for Tuesday, Aug. 6.
The day counts as a day of attendance and all school rules apply, including the dress code.
UCHS freshmen will meet in the auditorium at 8 a.m. and go through a full day’s schedule, with dismissal at 3:00 p.m. Lunch will be provided. Freshmen should bring a notebook and pen because classes will begin on this day.
Sophomores, juniors and seniors will meet with principal Jacob Cross at their designated time in the UCHS gym.
Following the assembly, students will proceed to the library for school pictures. After school pictures are taken, students will receive their schedules and be dismissed.
All upperclassmen must leave campus after receiving their schedule.
Sophomores 8–9:30
Juniors 9–10:30
Seniors 10-11:30
Note: Seniors will be taking tux and drape pictures beginning at 12:30 in the following last name order: A-C at 12:30; D-M at 1; N-R at 1:30 ; and S-Z at 2.
Union City Middle School students will register at the school on the following schedule:
- 5th grade will be in attendance from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Lunch will be provided.
- 6th grade from 9-10 a.m.
- 7th grade from 10-11 a.m.
- 8th grade from 11-12 a.m.
Union City Elementary School students will register at the school according to grade level.
If parents have more than one child to register, they may register them at the time assigned to the grade of the youngest child.
- Kindergarten, 8 a.m.
- Third Grade, 9 a.m.
- First Grade, 10 a.m.
- Fourth Grade, 11 a.m.
- Second Grade, 1 p.m.
Buses will not run on registration day.
Registration day is counted as a day of attendance. If a student misses registration day, they are counted as absent for the day.
