Stewart County Inmates Earn Their GEDs

Dover, Tenn.—Three Stewart County Jail inmates received their GEDs and a ceremony was held to recognize their achievement.
The inmates, Tommy Jarman, Tyler Lewis and Eric Compton, were presented their diplomas by County Mayor Robin Brandon, Sheriff Frankie Gray, Jail Administrator Kenny Anderson, along with Instructor Charles Lee from WorkForce Essentials. Family members also attended the ceremony.
Lee spoke about each of the inmates and how they progressed.
Sheriff Gray thanked WorkForce Essentials for partnering with the Stewart County Sheriff’s Office and said he hoped this will encourage more inmates to participate in the program.
This was the first time the program has been offered for Stewart County inmates.
