Paris, Tenn.-– The Tennessee Department of Safety and Homeland Security has recently added the Henry County Clerk as an issuance partner for renewals of handgun carry permits.
The Henry County Clerk’s office is located at 101 West Washington Street, Suite 102, at the Henry County Courthouse in Paris.
Clerk Donna Craig said these services are currently offered on Monday through Friday 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. The Clerk’s office does not issue renewals during the lunch hours.
The new renewal services being offered are a result of Public Chapter 109 being passed by the General Assembly this past legislative session.
“We appreciate the opportunity to partner with the Department of Safety and Homeland Security in being able to offer this convenient service. It will be very helpful for handgun carry permit holders in this county to be able to renew here in our office,” Craig said.
State law allows a $4.00 administrative fee to be added by the Clerk’s office in addition to the cost of the renewed handgun carry permit.
