Hundreds On Hand For Back To School Bash

Paris, Tenn.–Hundreds were on hand for Saturday’s 3rd annual Back to School Bash at the Henry County Fairgrounds organized by The Shed and Trinity United Methodist Church. Organizer Michelle Brewer said long lines were already forming at 8:30 a.m., hours before the 10 a.m. start for the event. Dozens of vendors, including churches, schools, businesses, Henry Co. Sheriff’s Office, Paris Police, Paris Fire Department and more handed out free school supplies and hosted games. The Dutton family performed live music for everyone. The sheriff’s office grilled hundreds of free hot dogs for everyone and handed out free chips and drinks, too. Hairdressers were busy giving free haircuts to kids. Brewer said, “This is our third year and it’s definitely our biggest one yet” and thanked all the sponsors, volunteers and donors. Photos by Shannon McFarlin
