UC Woman Charged With Forgery, Possession

Union City, Tenn.—A Union City woman is in the Obion Co. Jail on a variety of charges, including forgery, criminal simulation, theft, possession of drug paraphernalia and simple possession.
Union City Police arrested Jessi Roach, age 20, of 423 E. Church St., after she was identified from a photo line-up.
A Union City man told police about checks cashed from his account that he did not authorize. The bank printed off a document showing three checks had been written to an individual by the name of Jessi Roach. The victim said he did not know her and that the signature was not his and his name was misspelled on two of the checks.
Bank personnel told police that Roach had cashed the check at a local business where police said personnel there remembered a woman cashing multiple checks in the same week and that the owner told her she couldn’t cash anymore checks there.
The restaurant employee picked Roach out of a photo line-up.
While executing a search warrant at Roach’s home, they found two more checks along with half of a debit card belonging to the victim. They also found six glass meth pipes, digital scales, two hypodermic needles, and loose marijuana.
After transporting her to the Obion Co. Jail, she told officers she had a bag of weed in her bra.
