Blackburn To Speak At Women's Suffrage Commemorative Luncheon At McKenzie

 
McKenzie, Tenn. – U.S. Senator Marsha Blackburn, Tennessee’s first female U.S. senator, is the featured speaker at the upcoming Women’s Suffrage Commemorative Luncheon, sponsored by the City of McKenzie.
The event is at noon August 2, at the First United Methodist Church, McTyiere Street, McKenzie. Tickets are $10 and are available at McKenzie City Hall or any Carroll Arts member until July 26.
The year 2019 marks the 100th year of the women’s right to vote. The event will feature Senator Blackburn plus the story of Susan B. Anthony and the struggle for women to earn the right to vote will be told.
The event is sponsored by Carroll Arts, McKenzie Mayor Jill Holland and the City of McKenzie.
