Paris, Tenn.—Henry County Commissioner Wes Bradley was honored Monday night with the presentation of a State Resolution honoring him upon his retirement from the County Sheriff’s Office after 24 years.
The resolution was presented by State Rep. Bruce Griffey, R-Paris, at the county commission meeting.
Bradley was visibly surprised by the honor and said after the resolution was read by Griffey, “I appreciate this so much. I was not expecting this.”
The resolution notes that Bradley began working for the sheriff’s office in March of 1995, first as a jailer. In his years with the department, he worked as a dispatcher, patrol officer and warrant officer. The resolution said Bradley is “blessed with a loving and supportive family” and that he will be spending his free time with family, working on his farm and his garden.
Bradley is not retiring from his post on the county commission, where he represents the first district.
