Paris, Tenn.–The children’s classes at Paris Karate have been chosen again to help raise money for St. Jude’s Hospital in Memphis. Paris Karate is holding a “Kata Thon” all this week, July 15-20 in which students perform kata, the preset routines of karate techniques, keeping count of the number they perform.
Sponsors donate money for each kata performed or may give a
basic donation.
The theme for this year’s “Kata Thon” is “Children Helping Children”.
Students are urged to participate in this fund raiser to help children at
St. Jude while they benefit from practicing their karate skills.
Anyone who wishes to sponsor a student at Paris Karate and has not been
contacted, may contact Rick Conger at Paris Karate at 642-7425 or
