Paris, Tenn.–The 2019 Henry County Fair Books are available to the public, with the listing of activities for the annual event set for August 3-10.
This year’s Fair will feature a blend of new and old activities, kicking off with the Miss Teen and Fairest of the Fair contests August 3.
New activities include the Cruise-In of classic cars and trucks with live entertainment, Trivia Night sponsored by the Paris-Henry Co. Arts Council, both of which will be held on Monday night, August 5; Pickin at the Fair every night with the West Tennessee Players Resource (WTPR) group; a Food Truck Rodeo on Wednesday evening, Farm Family of the Day to be featured every day (families will include the Kevin Bomar family, Don Jones family, Veronica Steer family, Tyler Smith family, Grant Norwood family and Sunrise Farms with Ann and Angela Wilson. Dutton and Friends will perform Friday.
The Paris-Henry County Community Band will perform on Saturday night, August 10, a Talent Show will be held Thursday night, August 8, and a Tennessee River Artist Blacksmith Association demo will be held Saturday morning.
Other activities include a Demolition and Enduro Derby, cash giveaways, Henry County Fair Shootout with Sheriff Monte Belew, and the annual commercial exhibits and livestock shows.
The fair books are available at the Henry County Extension Office and will be distributed to local businesses over the coming days.
As WENK/WTPR reported earlier, this year’s fair will have no carnival. The Fair Book is dedicated to Jeremy Lindsey, manager at Lakeway IGA who donates and volunteers to a large number of local organizations, including the Fair, Henry County Helping Hand and more.
