Fred’s is closing another 129 of its discount stores, including the stores in McKenzie, Dover, Erin, Tiptonville, and Trenton in our area in Tennessee and Cadiz in Kentucky.
With the latest closures, the chain said Friday that it would have about 80 stores left open.
The going-out-of-business sales begin Friday, July 12.
This round of closures includes 35 stores in Mississippi, 19 stores in Tennessee, 16 in Arkansas, 14 in Georgia, 13 in Arkansas and 12 in Louisiana. The company’s remaining pharmacies will stay open.
