Buchanan, Tenn.- There still is time to register for the Paris Landing Sprint and Olympic Triathlon this Saturday. Officials said water levels have lowered enough for the event to be held. It is set to begin at the state park at 7 a.m. Saturday, July 13.
Deadline for registration is Thursday, July 11.
For competitors, the Olympic portion will include a 1500 meters swim, a 24 mile bike ride and 6.2 mile run. The sprint portion will include swimming 500 meters, biking 14 miles, and running 3.1miles.
Prices are $90 for Olympic, $75 for Sprint and other prices for teams and combos. Prices will increase after Sunday, July 7th and again on race day. Mail in registration has already closed, but you can still register online for the race until Thursday, July 11th. To register, go online to paristntri.racesonline.com/register.
Triathletes can pick up their race packets on Friday, July 12th from 4-6 p.m. at the Park Office or Saturday, July 13th from 5-6:30 a.m. The awards ceremony will be scheduled for 10 a.m. Finisher medals will be awarded to all participants. It is an excellent course for beginners and veteran triathletes and there will be souvenir t-shirts available.
