Martin, Tenn.–State Rep. Bruce Griffey, R-Paris, is working with the University of Tennessee at Martin to organize a new task force to tackle the continuing and growing problem with Asian carp in local waterways.
Grffey met last week with Chancellor Dr. Keith Carver; Executive Director of Research & Economic Development Dr. Charley Deal; Dean Shadow Robinson; UTM Wildlife Biology Coordinator Dr. Eric Pelren; and UT Government Relations officer Carey Whitworth and Dr. Tom Blanchard on the Martin campus.
Griffey said, “I’m pushing as hard as I can to bring as many players to the table as possible to help tackle this problem.”
