Paris, Tenn.–Henry County Sheriff Monte Belew hands out bags of fresh produce Wednesday during two free giveaways conducted by the sheriff’s office in Paris and Puryear. The Henry Co. Health Department also helped hand out produce and pamphlets on healthy eating and Sheriff Monte Belew said, “We’re hoping this becomes a continuing partnership between us and the health department with these giveaways.” The sheriff’s office regularly hands out free fresh produce from the inmate gardens. At the Puryear giveaway, the truck carrying the vegetable truck was a bit late and Belew and his K9 Si put on a short demonstration of Si’s drug tracking skills.
