Paris, Tenn.–Just in time for the holiday, the outdoor Pickleball court at Eiffel Tower Park in Paris has been completed.
What is Pickleball, you say? It’s a game that combines the elements of tennis, badminton, and ping pong and is played on a smaller court than for tennis. The game is played with paddles and a plastic ball with holes. It can be played as singles or doubles, indoors or outdoors.
Paris Parks and Recreation Director Tony Lawrence said many people locally already have Pickleball equipment, but for those who don’t, the equipment will be available to the public at the Paris Civic Center.
People already play Pickleball indoors at the Atkins-Porter Recreation Center, Lawrence said.
