Union City Fireworks Returning To Graham Park This Year

Union City, Tenn.—The city of Union City’s 4th of July fireworks display will be returning to Graham Park this year.
Parks and Recreation Director Ken Morris told WENK/WTPR the display will be held promptly at 9 p.m.
The fireworks display will be a big one, he said, “so we’re asking people to park a good distance away.” He said people are asked to park on the east side of the park by the community playground.
Morris said, “We’re trying to ease back into the city doing the fireworks display in the park and we hope to have more activities with it by next year.”
The fireworks display is sponsored by the city of Union City. Graham Park is on E. Main St.
Meanwhile, the Union City Police are reminding everyone that the discharge and shooting of recreational fireworks by private citizens in the city limits is a violation of the city ordinance. “Please do not ruin your July 4th Holiday by violating this ordinance and having us visit you without an invitation,” he said. “We want everyone to be safe, follow the rules and enjoy your hard earned day of celebration.”
