Union City, Tenn.—The Union City Police Department hosted a retirement reception Friday for an employee who is retiring after 44 years.
Pam Wisdom was honored after a lengthy career with the department, first as a dispatcher and then as records clerk. A steady stream of well-wishers attended the reception.
City officials said, “After 44 years, you have earned and deserve a break”. Wisdom has worked for six police chiefs in her career.
