Dan Paschall To Serve As Cottage Grove 4th Of July Parade Grand Marshal

Cottage Grove, Tenn.–Long-time former Henry County Commissioner Dan Paschall will serve as the Grand Marshal of the parade at this year’s Cottage Grove Freedom Festival set for Thursday, July 4.
It’s the 44th annual event for Cottage Grove and it will feature plenty of activities, some tried and true and others new events.
The highlight of the day is always the Grand Parade which begins at 10 a.m. Prizes are handed out for Best of Parade, Best Float and Most Patriotic.
Game booths open at 10:30 a.m., with the Firehouse International Kitchen serving their famous burgers and soft-serve ice cream. New events include the Monster Paint Ball and Fire Truck Photo Shoot. The cake walk will be held just after the parade and the country store will open.
In the afternoon, a Karaoke contest will be held at 2 p.m., followed by bingo beginning at 3, with live music and dancing and a corn hole tournament beginning at 9 p.m.
A yard sale will be held in the Cottage Grove School all day.
Fireworks begin at 9 p.m. The event, as always, is sponsored by the Cottage Grove Volunteer Fire Department.
