Paris, Tenn.–David Jackson was named Paris Rotarian of the Year Thursday at a meeting which also saw the change of the guard of club officers.
Outgoing Rotary President Tory Daughrity said Rotarian of the Year is given to a member who has “done an outstanding job and goes above and beyond for Rotary.” She noted that Daughrity was chairman of the Rotary Country Ham Breakfast, regularly attends meetings in both Paris and McKenzie, was co-chair of the Rotary’s first-ever radiothon this year and “is always willing to fill in and help.”
Additionally, Incoming President Sam Tharpe was inducted and his term is from July 1 to June 30, 2020. Tim Boyd is President-Elect.
Daughrity congratulated Tharpe as her term comes to an end–she was the first female President for the Paris Rotary.
