Dover, Tenn.–The Stewart County Detention Center now has computers installed for the inmates to be able to complete their GED.
According to Sheriff Frankie Gray, Charles Lee and Marla Rye from WorkForce Essentials are responsible in making this happen. It will allow inmates to complete the required courses so once released from jail, they’ll be able to have a new beginning.
Gray said, “We hope this will encourage more inmates to participate in the program and what a great opportunity for these individuals while being incarcerated.”
The computers don’t have access to the internet; they only have the capability to take the class courses.
