Courtroom Disruptions, Knocking Down Court Employee, Lead To Charges

 
Mayfield, Ky. –A Graves County man was arrested Wednesday morning after knocking down a Graves County Circuit Court employee while attempting to flee from sheriff deputies.
Andrew P. Connell, age 27, of Mayfield, is charged with criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, assault, resisting arrest, fleeing or evading.
During court proceedings around 11 a.m., Graves Co. sheriff’s deputies said Connell repeatedly caused disruptions and was asked to leave. He kept reentering the courtroom and eventually was placed under arrest.

According to the press release, as deputies attempted to place him under arrest, he fought with deputies and attempted to get away. As he was running through the courthouse, he ran into and knocked down a female Circuit Court Clerk employee, causing minor injury to her.
He was eventually taken into custody and lodged at the Graves County Jail.
