Murray, Ky.–The woman who was struck by lightning Sunday evening outside White College on the Murray State University campus has died from her injuries.
The woman, a non-student, was visiting campus when the accident occurred during Sunday’s severe storm.
She was transported to Murray-Calloway County Hospital.
MSU Director of Communications Shawn Touney confirmed that the woman had passed away. He said the family was bringing their child to campus for a summer program. He said, “Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.”
