Paris, Tenn.—Even with the storm that moved through Paris Saturday morning, the Lee Academy for the Arts Yard and Bake Sale was a success. In fact, organizers said a large crowd was on hand when the doors opened at 8 a.m., which was at the height of the storm. There were bargains galore, with a variety of goods such as books, clothing, furniture, baked goods and canned goods for sale, as well as sandwiches provided by Perry’s BBQ. (Shannon McFarlin photo).
