Murray, Ky.—A former Murray High School teacher and track coach was indicted Tuesday by the Calloway County Grand Jury on 11 charges involving his alleged use of video devices in a school bathroom.
Mark Boggess, age 53, of Murray, was arrested in April by Murray Police when they were contacted by high school staff. Staff at the school had located a device in the nurse’s station that was able to record video and the suspect was identified from the video as he was setting it in place, according to the Murray Police press release issued at that time.
The grand jury issued three counts that are Class D felonies involving possession and viewing of matter portraying sexual performance by a minor. According to the indictment, the alleged offenses happened between January 1 and April 25, 2019.
The other counts are Class A misdemeanors alleging voyeurism during the same time period.
Boggess was released from the Calloway County Jail on a $25,000 cash bond. A condition of his release is that he cannot have contact with witnesses or victims.
