Paris, Tenn.–The City of Paris is in the running for a 2019 Dog Park Dash grant and a social media kick-off event will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, June 17, at the Atkins-Porter Dog Park for all interested persons—and their canine friends.
Paris is one of many communities applying for the grant but only 30 will receive one. The $25,000 grant would be used to install more improvements for the local dog park. The grants are funded by the Randy Boyd Foundation’s Dog Park Dash program.
City officials have been asking everyone to flood social media with #dogparkdash #ParisTn in a post on Facebook, Instagram and other social media outlets. The dogparkdash organization will keep track of any posts that include the hashtag and location to keep track of how much community support there is for the grant.
The deadline is June 30.
