Two-County Pursuit Ends In Arrest For Evading, Endangerment & More

 
Murray, Ky.–A pursuit that began in Henry County ended in an arrest in Calloway County after deputies tried different maneuvers to stop the vehicle. In the end, the suspect’s vehicle was boxed in by Henry Co. Sheriff’s Deputy Sgt. Blake Jenkins.
Arrested was Molly Armour of New Concord. She is charged with Fleeing and Evading 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Operating on a Suspended License, Failure of Non-Owner to Maintain Required Insurance, and several other charges. Henry County Sheriff’s Office also will be filing charges against her. Plus, she already was wanted on warrants from Stewart and Chester Counties.
On Monday night,  the Calloway County Sheriffs’ Office was
contacted by the Henry County, TN Sheriff’s Office and advised of a Henry County
Deputy in pursuit of a black 2 door Mercedes on TN State Route 119 coming into
Calloway County on KY State Route 121 South. Deputies from the Calloway County
Sheriff’s Office were dispatched to the area. The Henry County Deputy continued
pursuing the vehicle onto Cypress Trail then to Valentine Road, continuing into the
Hamlin Community.
Calloway County Deputy Troy Doss was on Carlson Road when the
pursuit passed him headed towards Dunbar Road. Calloway County Deputy Brandon
Winebarger partially blocked Beat Farmer Road with his emergency equipment activated
in an attempt to stop the suspect vehicle. The vehicle continued past Deputy Winebarger
still being pursued by Henry County.
Deputy Winebarger was able to catch up to the pursuit as it turned left onto Blood River Road headed south. The order was given by the on-duty supervisor to perform a Pursuit Intervention Technique (PIT Maneuver) if the
opportunity safely presented itself.
Deputy Winebarger took the lead in the pursuit as it continued south on Blood River Road. As  the suspect vehicle entered a left hand turn and slowed to below 35 mph Deputy Winebarger was able to safely perform the PIT
Maneuver.
The suspect vehicle came to rest facing north on the left side of the roadway.
The pursuing Henry County Deputy Sergeant Blake Jenkins then boxed the vehicle in
with his cruiser. The suspect ignored all commands issued by the deputies and was
removed from the vehicle and taken into custody without further incident.
The suspect was later identified as Molly Armour of New Concord. Armour was wanted
on two Stewart County, TN warrants and several warrants from Chester County, TN.
Armour was lodged in Calloway County Detention Center and charged with the
following: Fleeing and Evading 1st Degree, Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree, Operating
on a Suspended License, Failure of Non-Owner to Maintain Required Insurance, and
several other charges.
The Henry County, TN Sheriff’s Office also has charges pending
against Armour. Neither Armour nor any deputies involved in the pursuit were injured.
