Still-Moving Weeds Lead To Evading Subject

Union City, Tenn.—A clump of weeds that were still moving tipped off police to the whereabouts of a Union City man attempting to evade arrest Tuesday.
Union City Police arrested Johnathan Edward Vaughn, age 26, of 604 Nash St. on charges of evading and possession of marijuana. Officers went to 531 Nash to serve an active warrant on him and when they went to the back of the residence they saw he had exited the building through an open window on the ground floor.
Officers observed the weeds still moving and leading to a wooded area behind the residence. Officers found Vaughn lying on the ground in the wooded area.
Officers looked on the ground to see if Vaughn left anything illegal and found paper containing a small amount of marijuana.
