Paris, Tenn.–Ed and Jenny Whitman drove all the way from Alabama to see Sammy Goldstein perform at the Krider Performing Arts Center (KPAC) last night and Goldstein called Jenny to the stage and serenaded her with some Elvis. A Paris native, Goldstein performs concerts across the United States and on cruise ships across the world. The Whitman’s weren’t the only people who drove from long distances for Goldstein’s concert Friday–many of his Paris classmates traveled from far and wide to see his performance (and many also attended the “Tales From The Crypt” walking tour of Paris City Cemetery earlier in the afternoon). Goldstein was accompanied for a few numbers by the Paris-Henry County Community Band directed by Mike Holden. Goldstein will appear at Jack Jones Flowers and Gifts in Paris from 1-3 p.m. to sign CDs.
