Paris, Tenn.–A reminder for everyone who has been craving fresh produce: the Henry Co. Farmer’s Market will open this Friday, June 7 at the fairgrounds. Hours of the market this year will be 3-6 p.m. Fridays and Tuesdays.
Organizer Chad Kennedy said there will be 15-20 vendors with a good variety of fresh produce, including squash, cabbage, garlic, onions and more. Plus, vendors will have jams and jellies and baked goods.
The Henry County Extension Service also will be on site, with Director Michele Atkins set to serve samples of recipes. She also will have recipe cards and insulated grocery bags for the public.
Kennedy said there always is room for more vendors. Cost is $35 and you can call Kennedy at 731 336 7786.
