Missing Hornbeak Man Found

Obion County, Tenn.–After an extensive search in 90-degree heat and high humidity, Obion County Sheriff’s Deputies and Highway Patrol Troopers located a Hornbeak man who had been missing for 24 hours.
They found Billy E. Tubbs down an embankment, dehydrated, with minor injuries and complaints of back and neck pain. He was found just off Whitmore Road near a cattle farm.
Tubbs was immobilized and hydrated at the scene until the ambulance crew arrived and Deputies and troopers were able to hoist him up the hill.
He was transported to Hornbeak landing zone at which time Air Evac transported him by helicopter to Jackson Madison County Hospital. 

In a press release, the Obion County Sheriff’s Office said it appreciates the assistance of all concerned citizens, troopers from the Tennessee Highway Patrol, Obion County Rescue Squad Volunteers, Pilots Brian Rainey and Paul Albright, EMS, and Air Evac. In addition, a thank you goes out to the Police Departments of Union City and South Fulton for answering calls in the county during the emergency.
