Union City, Tenn.–A large crowd of family, co-workers and well wishers gathered at the Union City Police Department to wish long-time employee Melody Fox a happy retirement. Fox has worked for the police department for 30 years.
Several people spoke at the gathering, including Police Chief Perry Barfield, sharing stories and thanking her for her service. The department issued a statement: “We at the Union City Police Department with heavy but happy hearts want to wish Melody Fox a happy retirement. Melody has been with us for 30 years. She is a valued member of our team and will be truly missed. Melody had a great work ethic and was always willing to lend a hand where needed. We were truly blessed to work with and know her.”
