Paris Woman Charged With Drug, Gun Charges

Paris, Tenn.–A Paris woman was arrested on drug and gun charges after two large bags of meth and a handgun were found hidden in a yard on Guthrie Road.
Kelly Leann Dunlap, age 28, 200 Guthrie Rd., was charged with possession of meth with intent to sell, simple possession of a Schedule IV drug, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Some $3,800 also was seized as suspected drug proceeds.
Paris Police Investigator Jeramye Whitaker said officers from the Metro Crime Unit, Paris Police and Henry County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at the home. While searching the property, officers located a metal container in the yard. Inside the container, officers located two large bags of methamphetamine with a field weight of 21.5 grams and multiple pills.
Officers also located a .22 caliber Derringer handgun with ammo that was hidden in the yard.
