E.W. James Supermarkets Celebrating 85th Anniversary

Union City, Tenn.–The E.W. James Supermarket chain will be celebrating its 85th anniversary with cook-out weekends and an ‘extreme giveaway’.
The cookout weekends will be held May 31, June 1, and June 7, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at E.W. James’ stores. For the May 31 and June 1 cookouts, hot dogs will be three for $1. For the June 7 cookout, ribeye sandwiches, chips and drink will be served for $5.
Grocery bags will be given away on May 31 and June 1 and a drawing for a Honda ranger and trailer will be held.
E.W. James of Hickman bought his first store in 1934 and in 1952 expanded into Obion County. Today, the chain includes stores in Union City, Paris, McKenzie, Dresden, Huntingdon, Ripley, and Martin.
