Huntingdon, Tenn.—Carroll County officials have confirmed that an 18-year-old male drowned Wednesday afternoon in the Carroll County 1000 Acre Recreational Lake.
His name has not been yet been released pending notification of the next of kin.
The 911 call reporting a possible drowning at the lake was received around 2 p.m.
The victim was swimming in the designated swimming area and went under the water, according to county officials. A diver with the Carroll County dive team recovered his body within 30-45 minutes.
