Martin Man Charged With Aggravated Assault After Gun Incident

 
Martin, Tenn.–A Martin man was charged with aggravated assault after pointing a gun at his neighbor and cursing at him.
Arrested was Christopher Brewer, age 21.
According to Assistant Martin Police Chief Phillip Fuqua, on Monday at 8:39 pm, Ptl. Sarah Rogers, responded to 528 Ellis St. Apt. 314 in reference to an aggravated assault that had just occurred.
Upon making contact with the complainant/ victim at the location, the victim said that a white male that stays in apartment 422 pointed a black hand gun at him while he was standing outside of apartment 314. He advised the subject walked outside from apartment 422 and started yelling and cursing at him.
He advised this subject then waived the gun and proceeded to point it at him from apartment 422. The victim said he proceeded to call 911. He said that when he called 911, the male subject took the pistol back inside of his apartment.
Ptl. Aaron Carter and Ptl. Adam Harrison made contact with Brewer at apartment 422. The offender gave them consent to search the apartment. A black Crossman BB 357 revolver was located inside of a bedroom lying on top of a clothes basket.  He will be arraigned in Weakley County General Sessions Court on Thursday, May 30th.
