Dover, Tenn.–A lone park ranger walks the grounds before this morning’s Memorial Day service at Fort Donelson National Battlefield in Dover. The local scouts had already placed flags at each of the hundreds of veterans’ graves in the military cemetery. The service was co-sponsored by the National Park Service and the Stewart County Veterans Affairs Office, with participation by Post 72 of the American Legion, Department of Tennessee, other veteran organizations, and local civic and scout groups.
