PARIS, TN – During a recent collection drive for the Henry County Sheriff’s Office animal shelter, the Henry County Medical Center collected 416 items that were taken to the shelter for the animals there.
Robin Brown, a nurse with KY Lake Urologic Associates approached hospital administration about the possibility of doing a drive for the Henry County Sheriff’s Department Animal Shelter. Brown is an animal lover and advocate for them, and wanted to see HCMC give back to the community in this way. It seemed a perfect fit to coincide with HCMC’s annual recognition. Each year, HCMC tries to find ways to give back during Healthcare Week, Service Week, and Christmas Week, and this seemed like a great opportunity.
HCMC ran the drive for about a week, with Brown the lead for the initiative. She even provided a beautiful quilt as the grand prize winner from those who donated to the drive. Each partner who donated was put in a drawing for gift cards and the quilt. Items collected included:
- Collars
- Leashes
- Brushes
- Bleach
- Paper Towels
- Bath Towels
- Dog Shampoo
- Laundry Detergent
- Any Other Cleaning Supplies
