Hank Williams Jr. Wants His Gun Back

Paris, Tenn.–Country Legend Hank Williams Jr. just wants his gun back.

Williams’ attorney Steve Smith of Cullman, Alabama, is now offering $6,000 to whoever can help them find Williams’ old Remington shotgun, which belonged to his grandfather.

Williams originally offered $5,000 and now is adding a $1,000 finders fee. Smith said the gun was probably lost during Williams’ move from Cullman to Paris–possibly from his cabin on Smith Lake in Alabama.

In a flyer posted by Williams, he notes that the gun has sentimental value since it belonged to his Granddad Sheppard and he wants to pass it to his children and grandchildren. Williams said there will be no questions asked and no chance of prosecution.

Smith said, “There is no suggestion that the shotgun was ever stolen and NO RISK of any follow-up after a successful recovery.”  Smith said, “If the finder would prefer a gun or guitar I’m sure that can be arranged with a proper certificate of authenticity.”
Smith has posted a message on Facebook asking anyone with information to contact him at steve@smithandsmithllp.com and his phone numbers are on the flyer, which we have posted on our website and Facebook pages.
