Next Shepherd's Table For The Hungry Is Tuesday

Huntingdon, Tenn.–Everyone is invited to share a meal at The Shepherd’s Table, which is a community kitchen created by the volunteers at the First Presbyterian Church of Huntingdon. The next Shepherd’s Table for the hungry is Tuesday, May 21 in the Fellowship Hall located at 19835E. Main Street, in Huntingdon. Dining will begin promptly at 5 pm and the kitchen will remain open until 6:45 pm. Anyone hungry or seeking fellowship for supper is invited.
More than 70 guests were served at last month’s supper. The warmer months are proving to be a more needful time for a community kitchen like The Shepherd’s Table.
Attending The Shepherd’s Table is like visiting your favorite casual restaurant in town. You are greeted
at the door by a host and seated at a table. A server will bring you a drink and take your order. Your food
is served to you hot and fresh from the kitchen. There is also a crew of volunteers to help with clean up
when you are finished.
Committee Chairman David Ray Carter gives a big thank you to all who assist The Shepherd’s Table
each month. “I invite you to get on our calendar to help volunteer in the future. What a blessing it is to
serve.”
Between the generous donations and what the committee spends each month, each meal costs
approximately $100. If you would like to sponsor a meal or give a donation of any amount please contact
The Shepherd’s Table by calling The First Presbyterian Church of Huntingdon at (731) 986-5642. If no
answer, please leave a message, someone will get back to you as soon as possible. Or please feel free to
attend one of the suppers.
The Shepherd’s Table will have supper every third Tuesday of the month.
