Union City, Tenn.—Union City Police are investigating vandalism and theft to a vending machine at a local business shortly after midnight Monday.
Officers were dispatched to Speed Wash laundromat at 214 N. Second St. and found a front glass panel to the snack machine shattered.
The manager of the laundromat, who lives in Troy, arrived and estimated 14 canned sodas had been taken, along with 16 candy bars. No other vending machines appeared to be vandalized and nothing else appeared to be taken.
The owner of the vending machine was contacted and he will contact the UCPD to review video footage as part of the investigation.
