Cuba, Ky.—A driver who struck two vehicles in a highway work zone in Graves Co. is being sought by the Graves County Sheriff’s Office.
Anthony Travis, age 28, of Dukedom fled on foot after gathering items from his car. Two of his passengers, Samantha Peterman, age 32, of Simpson, Ill, and Brandy Arnett, age 44, of Mayfield, were transported to the Jackson Purchase Medical Center emergency room and treated for minor injuries. Both were arrested on drug charges: possession of controlled substances and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The incident occurred around 8 a.m. Monday near the intersection of KY 303 and KY 94 south of Cuba.
A paving crew was working at the intersection and according to witnesses, the flagman had traffic stopped in both directions of KY94 and was allowing a van driven by Jeffery Wheeler, age 61, of Pilot Oak, to pull out onto the highway.

He ignored the flagman’s signal and struck Wheeler’s vehicle knocking it off of the roadway. He then struck a vehicle waiting in traffic driven by Daniel Boyd, age 29 of Sedalia. According to witnesses Travis gathered items from the car and fled south on KY 303 on foot and ran into a nearby woods.
