MARTIN, Tenn.– Elliot Tomlinson and Karl Ullrich, both of Union City, were inducted into the Order of Engineers during a ceremony May 4 at the University of Tennessee at Martin. The induction ceremony is a way for graduating engineering students to show pride in their new profession and unity with other engineers. Participating students recite a pledge to uphold honor, workmanship and ethics in the engineering field. Both Tomlinson and Ullrich completed their degrees during the fall 2018 semester. Tomlinson (center) is pictured with Dr. Shadow Robinson (left), dean of the UT Martin College of Engineering and Natural Sciences, and Dr. Bob LeMaster, chair of the Department of Engineering.
