Fancy Farm, Ky.—Investigators with the Graves Co. Sheriff’s Office have now arrested four people in connection with the theft of items from vehicles that occurred over several hours Monday in the Fancy Farm area.
Clayton Williams Jr., age 19, Abby Mae Hammonds and Christopher Reynolds, both age 26, all of Mayfield were located on South 8th Street in Mayfield; and Brian Harris, age 30, was found later hiding in a closet of a house in Mayfield. When arrested, Harris had some of the victims’ property on his person along with Spice, a synthetic drug.
During the arrest some of the property that was purchased with the stolen credit/debit cards was recovered. Also a stolen Springfield 9mm was recovered when Williams was found hiding in the Jeep Cherokee he used Sunday during the thefts. The handgun was stolen out of Calloway County last week.
Charges against the four include fraudulent use of credit cards, thefts of drugs, use of controlled substance, receiving stolen property, tampering with physical evidence, with more charges pending.
All are in the Graves Co. Jail. Sheriff Jon Hayden said the public’s assistance in identifying Williams and Harris from surveillance photos was a turning point in the investigation. “The Sheriff’s Office appreciates everyone’s tips and information,” he said.
