Martin, Tenn.–A Martin man has been arrested in connection with juveniles missing from Tiptonville and he was charged with statutory rape involving one of the juveniles.
On May 3rd, Martin Police Lt. James Hatler of Martin P.D. was following up on information that was received about two missing juveniles from Tiptonville. During this investigation, it was determined that De Sean Hart, age 24 of Martin, had played a role in taking the juveniles to Martin.
According to the press release, during the investigation, it was discovered that Hart had unlawful sexual contact with one of the juveniles while in Martin. He was taken into custody and formally charged with statutory rape. He will be arraigned in Weakley County on Monday, May 6th at 1:00 p.m.
This investigation also involved the Tiptonville Police Department and the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation. The offender has been charged additionally with contributing the delinquency of a minor and sexual solicitation of a minor by Tiptonville P.D.
